So what if I'm an attention seeker

Someone accused me recently of being an attention-seeker. Initially I was upset by this accusation. But later upon reflection, I have to admit that he was right. Well, first of all he flung the accusation at me simply because I have been telling all and sundry to check out my blog. I mean what is the purpose of having a blog if no one is gonna read it, right? And how do I get people to read my blog? Well, obviously by promoting it myself and with the hope that my so called friends would tell their friends and so on … Its quite simple actually and in this case I find absolutely nothing wrong in blowing my own trumpet! So, yes, I am an attention seeker. So what?

In all our years of friendship, Pat, I have never thought of you as an attention-seeker. It is just NOT you.

"When one person makes an accusation, check to be sure he himself is not the guilty one. Sometimes it is those whose case is weak who make the most clamour" - Piers Anthony

In this case, I am with you. Go ahead and blow your own trumpet. I have been making too much noise with mine!

Dear Lady,
Its good that accusations like these are leveled at us. If we take it constructively, and we change because they're true, we become better people. If they're not, at least see if the English construction is good and worth learning from.
Don't worry about trivial things Lady. You're made of better stuff than to fret on these sort of things. I would rather you make yourself an attractive person and attract attractive people and things to you. Have a wonderful and Blessed Easter.

hi lady Patsy,

i found out about your blog from J.T's which I went to after a good friend asked me to check her out.

you know, something i've noticed... both yours and J.T's blogs are so lovely. besides what you both write, it is also the design that i find so attractive, so appealing, so alluring.
it does something to me....
i know i know.... decidedly, they are feminine.
makes me want to change the design of my blog which is so bleaahhh!

anyway, may i comment on your posting? attention-seeker?
someone is a little jealous of you, i am sure.
JT is your best friend and she says you are not.
i think people pay attention to you and not to this other person.
sure looks that way to me.

and you sound like a real cool lady too.

take care and stay cool,

nuraina

Thanks J.T for your honest comment. Guess that's why we are best friends!

SUP - Thanks for the words of wisdom. Its nice to receive reassurance occasionally. Will follow your advice accordingly & a Happy Easter to you.

Nuraina, thank you for visiting my blog & glad that you enjoy my ramblings. BTW I have JT to thank for, for the lovely designs on my blog. She's kinda like my creative director.

And finally to reaffirm the fact that I AM an attention seeker, if there are any editors/publishers out there who's reading my blog and thinks that I'm talented - well, I'm open to job offers especially in the field of writing!
